Laser Therapy

Also known as photobiomodulation (PBM), Laser is a versatile, safe, and amazing modality of healing. We offer class IV laser therapy to aid in the treatment of not only painful orthopedic and musculoskeletal conditions such as sprains, myofascial pain syndrome, strains, back pain, limping, arthritis and traumatic injuries, but also as a complement to treatment for chronic ear infections, chronic cystitis, chronic skin disease, and hastening post op and traumatic wound healing times.
PBM or laser therapy utilizes a safe beam of light that penetrates down to dysfunctional cells stimulating them to release growth factors via ATP and nitric oxide at the mitochondria into the surrounding areas. This process results in beneficial therapeutic outcomes such as reduction of pain, regulation of inflammation, immunomodulation and the promotion of tissue repair and healing! Most sessions only take about 5-20 minutes depending on the areas that need attention. To further enhance this healing effect we often pair it with acupuncture to maximize outcome. Most treatments only last a few minutes and provide a warm and soothing sensation. You and your pet will be provided protective eyewear during the procedure.
